Moon Gang – Ubud Villa Photo Shoot

Moon Gang Villa is one of those rare places in Ubud that feels both hidden and deeply connected to its surroundings. Located just a few minutes from Ubud Center, the villa sits quietly inside a small alley, surrounded by a typical Balinese village where daily life continues at its own gentle pace. Stepping into the property feels like entering a calm pocket away from the busy streets, yet still very much part of Ubud’s soul. The villa’s design reflects this balance beautifully—earthy textures, soft terracotta tones, curved archways, and tropical greenery blending seamlessly with the architecture. From the intimate pool area to the cozy interiors, every corner feels warm, organic, and thoughtfully designed, making it a joy to photograph from morning until night.

This villa photo project came with its own challenge—weather. We did the shoot in December, right in the middle of Bali’s rainy season, when clear skies are never guaranteed. I had to come to the villa twice, carefully chasing short windows of good light between heavy rain and cloudy days. It wasn’t easy at all, and honestly, December is probably one of the hardest months to plan an architectural photoshoot in Bali. But patience always pays off. When the light finally showed up, everything fell into place—the colors came alive, reflections in the pool looked magical, and the villa revealed its true character. In the end, despite the rain, I’m genuinely happy with the results and grateful for the opportunity to capture Moon Gang Villa in its best moments.
